Hamptons estate of celebrity fashion designer Arnold Scaasi asks $10.7M

Fashion designer Arnold Scaasi’s former Hamptons home is on the market for $10.74 million.

The legendary designer, who passed in 2015, is best known for dressing Jackie Kennedy — and refusing to give her frocks for free.

Scaasi, the Montreal-born son of a furrier, also created gowns for Mamie Eisenhower, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush — along with Joan Crawford, Lauren Bacall, Elizabeth Taylor, Brooke Astor and Barbra Streisand, whom he dressed in a still-scandalous outfit for the 1969 Oscars, where she won for “Funny Girl.”

“Designers have to trick American women into being stylish,” said Scaasi, whose real last name was Isaacs, which is Scaasi spelled backward.

The three-story, shingled, traditional home at 27 Old Point Road in Quogue Village, was built in 1920.

With 4,586 square feet, it features seven bedrooms and 6½ baths and has been completely renovated.

The property, which sits on 1.7 acres, comes with a pool, a studio and water views from Shinnecock Bay and Phillips Creek to Dune Road and the ocean.

The listing broker is Douglas Elliman’s Enzo Morabito.
