Recently-awoken Taylor Swift interrupted her Instagram stories of reposted #JustVoted fan selfies to make one last appeal this election day for all of you to go out and vote. She started her series of videos with a joke: “What is today? Tuesday. What was it that everyone is supposed to do today? What was it? Oh yeah, you gotta go vote today.”

Swift then explained how especially important it is for young people, who have had historically low turnout in elections (though this year that already looks to be changing), to hit the poll today. “I’m seeing a lot of underestimation of young voters and this new generation who now have the right to vote just in the last couple of years, but these are people who grew up post 9/11, they grew up with school shooting drills at their schools,” she started. “These are people who want to vote.”
“It’s not enough to just want change,” she continued. “It’s not enough to just want to vote. You have go and make change by voting and today is your opportunity to do that. I promise you it feels so wonderful to exercise that right that you have.”
You heard the lady: do it if you haven’t already. For information on where your polling place is, check out vote.org or your state’s election site.
