Trader Joe’s is like that really good friend who just gets you. If you’re anything like us, you never know just how much you NEED an item until it’s released, and to be honest, we’re not mad about that.
We’ve been strong supporters of all the TJ’s cauliflower products — like the cauliflower gnocchi, riced cauliflower stir-fry, and the cauliflower pizza crust. Thanks to Instagram user @traderjoesvegan, we have a new addition to the gang: the Riced Cauliflower Bowl.
“Our Riced Cauliflower Bowl is all about simple ingredients, big flavors, and a variety of fascinating textures,” Trader Joe’s said on its site. The bowl consists of a riced cauliflower base, sweet potatoes, red onions, tofu, and seasoned chickpeas. It’s topped off with sambal oelek red chilli paste, tamari soy sauce, and a tahini sauce — um, yummy. As for the nutritional facts, there’s 120 calories per serving, seven grams of fat, and 11 grams of carbs.
Warning: everyone will think you’re a top chef, but really all you have to do is microwave the cauli bowl for three minutes, and you’ve got yourself a delicious meal. To spice it up even more, Trader Joe’s suggests topping it off with avocado or a fried egg (FYI: the egg is not vegan). If you’re a cauliflower fanatic, these bowls are an absolute must.
