Two years after filing for divorce, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are still legally married—and at risk of having their case thrown out. The Blast obtained a document from the Superior Court of Los Angeles county in which the supervising judge warned the couple that their divorce case may be dismissed because of “delay in prosecution” if they fail to provide the necessary documents for the proceedings to move forward.

Multiple sources toldthat “divorce is close to being wrapped up, and the final settlement between the two stars is humming along.” It was unclear to them what the holdup was with filing with the court.
Meanwhile, a source told People that Garner and Affleck will continue to take their time finishing their settlement as they “navigate the best path forward” for them and their three children. “There is no rush here,” the source said. “They continue to figure out ways of working together as a family and this is what works for them. They are doing what’s best for their family.”
Garner and Affleck were married for 10 years before splitting in 2015 and remain devoted co-parents to their three children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. At one point after announcing their separation, Affleck reportedly tried and failed to win Garner back.
Unlike some other celebrity divorces, Garner and Affleck’s proceedings have been civil (at least from the little that’s been reported) and kept mostly private.
