Fur Sweatshirts Are a Thing Now


Thursday’s Fendi show was a lot of what you’d expect from the house: Expertly nipped-waist dresses and coats, logo-stamped bags, and fur…lots of fur.

Something we didn’t expect? Sweatshirts that may or may not have been inspired by another iconic brand that starts with an F. The Fendi team saw pop visual artist Hey Reilly’s Instagram—he riffs on and reimagines fashion logos—as a jumping off point for the show.

The result was an army of sweatshirts (and one handbag!) featuring the Fendi logo, but through the lens of Italian Sportswear brand Fila, using its font and famous two-tone “F.” The mashup works, fitting right into the ‘90s-nostalgia vibe that’s everywhere this season.
