Blake Lively Thanks Trainer Don Saladino for 61-Pound Post-Baby Weight Loss


Blake Lively, mother of two, celebrated a milestone on Instagram this afternoon: Over the last 14 months, she lost all 61 pounds she gained during her second pregnancy with Ines Reynolds. “Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through instragram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models,” she wrote in her caption. “Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud 💪😁💪”

What’s subtly cheeky about Lively’s ‘gram is the extra person she tagged in it. Sure, Saladino, who’s in the photo, is tagged but also “vancityreynolds,” the Instagram account of Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds—as if to say nudge, nudge.

Reynolds already liked the ‘gram, obviously. The two have a history of flirting on social media.

This isn’t Lively’s first time working with Saladino. He also helped Lively lose weight after her first pregnancy when she was prepping for her role in The Shallows. She gave him a shoutout then too. “This fit dude, @donsaladinoNOSE how to kick my butt (see what I did there 😜👃) #WhyIsCelluliteIsSoMuchCuterOnBabiesYou’ll die over his training on Broadway. Officially a maniac. Which is of course why we get along. 😄😄😆😋💪💥”

Since welcoming Ines in September 2016, Lively has booked two physically-intense parts: one as an assassin in The Rhythm Section, another as a former MMA fighter making a comeback in Bruised. Saladino is undoubtedly helping Lively prepare her body for both roles. Production on The Rhythm Section, which is currently on hold as Lively recovers from a hand injury, is set to resume shooting in June.
