When LOFT announced they’d be launching a plus size collection, they rightly observed that “no two bodies are alike.” An obvious notion that’s still worth repeating—it’s no secret that there’s still a lack of plus size apparel options on the market. At one point, they seemed few and far between (Torrid, Eloquii, Swimsuits for All, Universal Standard, Premme) but thanks to a slew of retail brands expanding their inventories to include more inclusive sizes and styles, the plus size fashion market is finally getting the attention it deserves.

Ahead, we take a look at the newest collections catering to curvy women.

Madewell and J. Crew

When Madewell unveiled their Spring 2018 denim collection in early January, the brand announced it would be extending their denim sizes up to size 35. To coincide with the extended sizes, Madewell also released its new denim style titled the “curvy high-rise skinny jeans” which was designed especially for women with “an hourglass shape.” Naturally, social media wasted no time praising the brand for its new inclusive range.

“Um, has anyone noticed that @madewell changed its sizing as of the new year? We’re [talking] 16, XXL, 33/34/35 folks. Way to be more inclusive, y’all,” one user wrote on Twitter.

A week prior, Madewell’s sister brand J. Crew extended its sizing up to 35 as well.
